September 18, 2024-The Local Chief Executive, Hon. Antonio V. Mariano together with the Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Rhonel Allan M. Coloma, followed by Sangunian Bayan Member, Hon. Julius J. Casco, and PCMS Leonardo Battulayan, attended the field day activity of the 0.5 hectare hybrid rice technology demonstration on varietal trial yesterday at Brgy. Ferdinand, Marcos, Ilocos Norte.
The technology demonstration was headed by Mrs. Generosa Rucille E. Rasalan, Municipal Agriculturist. The recent field showcased the latest advancement on hybrid rice technology, attracting the farmers to eager explore new varietal trials- SL- 39H, LP 534, and Jackpot 102. This was the very first time technology demonstration in the said barangay, said Mrs. Rasalan.

The field day was open by almost 90 farmers from Brgy. Ferdinand, Marcos, Ilocos Norte, headed by Mr. Wilbour F. Manuel, Zanjera President, Mr. Florencio Manuel, Farmer Cooperator, and Barangay Chairman, Mr. Edison Basug.
